“After a late start to our golf season thanks to a couple of late spring snowstorms, we had an incredible summer at Schaffer’s Mill Club,” said Director of Golf Clint Bassett. “We’ve more than doubled our Club membership, completed our interim golf and sales facilities and experienced healthy member and guest play. By keeping the golf course open for a few extra weeks, we believe we can satisfy some of the pent-up golf demand for Members and guests.”

The Schaffer’s Mill Club is a private facility by charter; however, as the Club grows a limited amount of non-Member/guest play is available on the golf course. Special October non-Member/guest rates range from $105 to $145 depending on time of day and day of the week. Tee times may be arranged directly through the professional team in the Golf Shop by calling 530-582-6964 or online at www.schaffersmill.com. For all reservations made for October, the Schaffer’s Mill staff will ask for a guest’s phone number and will be in contact if inclement weather hits or is in the forecast.

“We had a blast on Saturday and really enjoyed doing this for the Truckee and Tahoe communities,” said Schaffer’s Mill Club Director of Golf Clint Bassett. “I guarantee a fun time was had by all. The feedback we’ve received has been incredible. We look forward doing more events like this in the future.”

The weather was beautiful at Schaffer’s Mill on Saturday, and all our guests – regardless of age – enjoyed learning more about the game of golf and about the wonderful amenities at Schaffer’s Mill.

The new campus includes a golf shop, food and beverage service, a sales pavilion and a shaded dining patio overlooking the picturesque first hole.

“The late spring snowfall created a few challenges, but we’re excited to continue our progress and we remain on schedule with respect to our amenity plans,” said John Marlin, Managing Partner for Schaffer’s Mill. “We’ve significantly upgraded the interim facilities, and we are eager to get started on the permanent amenities. Plans are already being drawn and we expect to begin building some of those amenities later this summer.”

The completion of the facilities adds to the momentum that is building within the community. In the last 30 days, the Schaffer’s Mill team has sold a home site – the first in more than two years—along with two townhomes, totaling over $1.5 million in real estate sales.

“We are working hard to build an active and vibrant club environment,” said Marlin. “Our goal is to complete the facilities and amenities and grow the membership as quickly as possible. We expect Schaffer’s Mill to become a community where families can come together and enjoy all that the Tahoe area has to offer and we’re committed to bringing that vision to life just as fast as we can.”
